As part of a small creative team, I oversaw all marketing activity for the Asian Music Circuit's events programme.
Key areas of work:
▪ Planning and executing marketing campaigns for all concerts, tours, exhibitions and education events
▪ Designing brochures, flyers, posters, and concert programmes
▪ Overseeing printing and distribution of promotional materials and concert programmes
▪ Creating all external texts, from press releases and programme notes to grant applications and website copy
▪ Managing marketing budget
▪ Buying advertising space (print, radio, TV, online) and designing adverts
▪ Maintaining and building media contacts
▪ Recruiting and supervising interns and volunteers

Funded by the European Commission's Youth in Action programme, I spent a year in Germany at the EMCY secretariat, a central contact point for music competitions across Europe.
Key areas of work:
▪ Project managing a complete redesign and relaunch of the EMCY website
▪ Programming and staging a series of concerts as part of the ‘WDR MusikFest’ in Münster and ‘Jugend musiziert’ in Essen
▪ Promoting prize winners online and helping them find performance opportunities
▪ Supporting prize winners through an ongoing programme of masterclasses and courses
▪ Designing, composing and distributing email newsletters and postal mailings
▪ Contacting member competitions across Europe
▪ Managing musicians for creative projects
▪ Taking care of complex international hotel and travel arrangements for large mixed groups
▪ Maintaining and updating contact lists

Rough Guides Brand Navigators promote Rough Guides’ travel guides through exciting marketing and PR activities on campus. I joined the scheme during my final year at King's College London.

▪ Negotiating with journalists and writing articles for student press
▪ Organising book launch events and distributing promotional materials on campus

Marketing Assistant
Barefruit generates highly targeted traffic for ISPs by replacing error pages with relevant advertising. As a junior member of the team, I assisted in the daily running of the start-up.

▪ Generating complex taxonomies to maximise traffic
▪ Proofreading texts and data sets and checking for misspells and broken links
